About The Role
We are looking for an Insurance Manager with experience in insurance to plan and execute our marketplace strategy globally scaling our business 2x year over year. You will be accountable for the revenue stream for health, life, pension plan & retirement insurance and any other products related with financial wellbeing for the employees.
This role has to be more than the 80% of their time-based in Madrid.
Main challenges
- Become a critical element to our ambition to build a scalable and predictable sales machine within marketplace day-to-day activities.
- Manage the sales cycle related to insurance products, from opportunity validation to contract negotiation and closing supporting our Sales and CS Teams.
- Run amazing discovery and demo meetings supporting our Sales and CS Teams, identifying the customer pain and challenge, how Cobee Broker’s value proposition can address it and how we are supporting similar clients to do it.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations and insurance quotations, tailoring them to the identified customer pain in regards with insurance products and coverage comparative analysis.
- Follow up with potential customers, key stakeholders, and maintain data in order to track deals well, making sure everything is up to date in the CRM.
- Define new products with our Product Team regarding employee financial wellbeing such as Pension Plans
- Build relationships with insurance carriers, negotiate contracts and improve the existing ones, defining new competitive products, client service SLAs and efficient operations.
- Lead all the quotations, benchmark, and presentation of offers to our clients, advising the best coverage and companies to cover those risks.
- Analyzing and comparing vendor products, services, and contracts including financial markets.
- Support our insurance day to day operations with the clients and carriers such as insurance submissions or insurance requests and removals, aligned with our Insurance Operations Team.
- Support our legal team to improve new regulation requirements making sure our processes are compliant with local legislation.
You are

- An excellent communicator (Verbal and written proficiency in Spanish and English required) so you can convince our clients that they should place their insurance with us.
- You have proven experience working for a SaaS company in the HR industry.
- You love to create efficient processes and continuously improve those, applying lean six sigma methodologies to guarantee the scalability in the long term. Passionate about sales and the sales process optimization.
- An excellent organisational and analytical person: you are excited by the concept of a beautiful company performance report having all the data accurate. You are able to prioritize, you keep yourself focused and you always pay attention to detail. Your
- CRM is always up to date.You have strong prioritization; problem solving and focus skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously effectively.
- You have a collaborative, no-ego approach to leadership – you work well with all kinds of personalities and teams across multiple geographies.
- Smart and fast learner so that you quickly identify customer pains and how Cobee’s product can address it. At the same time, humble enough to give and accept constructive feedback.
You have
- 3-5 years of experience
- University Degree (BA or BS).
- Strong English & Spanish communication skills (written and spoken).
- Strong mathematical/financial foundation (analytical approach).
- Strong Excel (Xlookup, Sumifs, Sumproduct, Index/Match, Complex If statements.
- Strong client service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and in a timely manner.
- Knowledge of financial and/or health products such as Health, Retirement, Pension or Life
- Have experience using typical sales tools, Salesforce, Salesloft.
- Desirable Group 2/B insurance broker submitted by a legal authority by the DGSFP.
- Desirable Project Management Professional (PMP).
